Usually we blast the horrid coverage, but I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the job USA had done. Cutting to crucial games at ends of sets, showing us a variety of players, and providing some decent insight and interviews. The ticker across the bottom is a nice little touch too.

We're quick to criticize, but I must say so far a job well done.:103631605

mary carillo doesnt work for usa..

tracy austin is the voice you hear.

usa does an awesome job every year... not a better announcing team anywhere then you'll find in ted robinson and john mcenroe.

I like Mary. I think she does a good job. Tracy is excellent. She sounds like she tires of McEnroe though :)

and USA's coverage with Directv is even better. 5 courts to watch and choose from. doesnt get much better than that.

I hate the coverage. The only good thing you can say is that there's a lot of it. I heard Direct TV is providing 300 additional hours of coverage and you can pick and choose the courts where the matches are going on. How cool is that?

how can you hate this coverage.. they show the top players.

you have macatee and courier during the day and ted robinson and mcenroe at night..

nothing to hate there..

i do think they could switch matches when venus or serena are blowing someone out.

man i miss USA Network's coverage with directv.

wouldnt mind seeing Donald Young play now...one of the the "future" of American tennis players....and we are stuck watching Roddick, for the 3 trillionth time.

Agree that Young is more intresting player but after few years you are saying...damn again that Young, must be 3 trillionth time :missingte

About Roddick, using no topspin right now, just more power and seems to be working. Hopefully he can not keep his level during the whole match.

i'm rooting for ya Levi, but TJ is done--he has nothign to hurt elite players, anymore. I think Andy wins in straights. Hope i'm wrong.

Not so sure if it is TJ or is Andy just playing his best tennis for a some time, surely when playing against somebody who can return his serves he is going down...now looking like he takes this in straight sets

Got some interactive coverage here... Stopped watching Tojo awhile back. Roddick is playing more solid than usual, sticking to the baseline rather than behind it. Groundies looking decent. Tojo is playing like a *****. Not enough urgency in his game.

Seen some parts of Young/Feli. Young showing some very good stuff but currently a break down. He's starting to dwell on mistakes. He needs to regain his composure because his game is better than Feli's.

Verdasco a break up and controlling Berdych by moving him around the court, and looking to neutralise the power game by changing the pace. Also serving very well.

Edit; Roddick wins the second set 6-2!!???

Levi, not sure if you're watching--in the Roddick match, it really is no contest. TJ is showing his age--Roddick is over-powering him, Thomas cannot hurt him from either side. Roddick, as usual, plays better as he gains confidence in the match--he is doing that again today. Nothing really special from him, same game. Just making less errors, gogin for shots on TJ consitent short balls. Of course, he's not going to the net much...he leaves that nonsense when he's trailing, starts to panic:nohead:
